Gurugram, September 23, 2025: ACME Solar Limited has announced a major new refinancing today, on September 23. The company announced that it has secured domestic refinancing worth Rs 1,100 crore from State Bank of India (SBI) for its 300 MW renewable energy project in Rajasthan. The refinancing by SBI has a total tenure of 17 years.

ACME Solar Holdings Limited is an Indian renewable energy company that develops, builds, owns, and operates utility-scale solar, wind, hybrid, and energy storage projects. The company was founded in 2003 and is headquartered in Gurugram, Haryana. The NSE ticker symbol for the company is ACMESOLAR, while the BSE code is 544283.

Share Price Falls By 1.04%

After the announcement, ACME Solar Limited’s share price saw some consolidation. As of 1:15 PM, the shares were down by 1.04%, or 3.10 points, and were trading at ₹294.90. Until now, the shares have made a high of ₹305.80 and a low of ₹293.25. The current traded volume stands at 7.17 lakh shares, with the company’s current market cap at ₹18,032 crore.

Refinancing Aligning With Ongoing Strategy

The management of ACME Solar communicated that the refinancing aligns with its ongoing strategy to optimise portfolio financing and enhance its credit standing. The company has been able to achieve credit rating upgrades and position itself for capacity growth due to its financial discipline.

Rajasthan Project With Consistent Capacity Utilisation Factor Levels

The company’s Rajasthan project has been operational for the last six months. It has consistently delivered adequate optimum capacity utilisation factor (CUF) levels. The refinancing will help the company replace the project’s existing debt with a lower financing, which it obtained from SBI at a reduced cost of 100 basis points. The long repayment tenure of 17 years will also help the company in long-term stability. However, the increased borrowing is an, which is likely the cause of the company’s share price performance today.
