Fertilizers Sector

The fertilizers sector includes production, import and distribution of nitrogenous, phosphatic, potassic and complex soil nutrients required for crop growth. It is the backbone of India’s agriculture and food security, contributes 3.5% to GDP and supports more than 50% of rural incomes. Indian investors see this as a policy driven mid-cycle play with government subsidies and rural demand.
