Mumbai, April 20: A busy week of corporate actions is set to keep several stocks in focus, with a mix of dividends, bonus issues, stock splits and buybacks lined up between April 22 and April 24.

Dividend payouts dominate the calendar, with companies across sectors rewarding shareholders. Among the key names, Sanofi India and CIE Automotive India will trade ex-dividend on April 22. Sanofi has announced a hefty final dividend of Rs 48 per share, while CIE Automotive will pay Rs 7 per share.

Momentum Continues

The momentum continues into April 23, when CRISIL goes ex-dividend for an interim payout of Rs 9 per share. Alongside it, Schaeffler India and Huhtamaki India will also turn ex-date for their dividends.

The tail end of the week, April 24, will see further activity with interim dividends from companies such as Patanjali Foods and the Mold-Tek group, adding to the income-focused triggers for investors.

Beyond Dividends

Beyond dividends, corporate actions extend to structural changes in shareholding. Anlon Healthcare will be in focus with a 1:1 bonus issue and a stock split, while Vega Jewellers has announced a 4:1 bonus issue. String Metaverse will also undergo a stock split, reducing its face value significantly.

Additionally, Windlas Biotech is set to trade ex-date for its proposed share buyback, adding another dimension to the week’s corporate action landscape.

Near-term Catalysts

From a market perspective, such corporate actions often act as near-term catalysts. Dividend announcements can attract yield-seeking investors, while bonus issues and stock splits typically improve liquidity and retail participation. However, stocks also tend to adjust around ex-dates, reflecting the payout or structural change.

Overall, the week presents a mix of income opportunities and capital structure changes, ensuring that corporate action-driven moves remain a key theme in the market. With heavyweight names and high payouts in play, traders are likely to keep a close eye on these developments for short-term cues.
