What Are the Chances of Getting Shares in Shringar House of Mangalsutra IPO?
With the IPO subscribed 60.29 times overall, the probability of getting an allotment depends heavily on the investor category.
- Retail Investors (27.22x subscribed): Each valid retail application competes against 27 others. Allotment will be done through a lottery system, meaning only about 1 in 27 applicants is likely to receive even a single lot.
- HNI/NII Investors (82.58x subscribed): Oversubscription was far higher in this category, making chances of allotment very slim. Large-ticket applications are likely to see only fractional allotments.
- QIBs (101.41x subscribed): Institutions applied more than 100 times their reserved portion, so allotment will be highly selective and proportional.
- Employees (69.90x subscribed): Even though employees get a reserved quota, demand was nearly 70 times. Similar to retail, allotment will be largely lottery-based.
In summary: Retail investors stand a chance only if luck favors them in the lottery system, while NIIs and QIBs face even tougher odds due to massive oversubscription.
