Retail Investors Can Participate with Minimum Investment of ₹14,996 for 46 Shares
Retail individual investors (RII) can apply for a minimum of 46 shares, amounting to ₹14,996 at the upper price band of ₹326 per share. The lot size multiples allow retail investors to bid up to 13 lots (598 shares), totaling ₹1,94,948. The Tata Capital IPO sets aside 16,61,18,498 shares (34.91%) for retail applicants, with a maximum of 36,11,271 individual allotments. The structured approach ensures participation for investors seeking moderate exposure while adhering to the IPO’s price band and lot size framework.
HNI Investors Can Bid Between ₹2 Lakh–₹10 Lakh (sNII) and Above ₹10 Lakh (bNII)
High net-worth individuals (HNIs) fall under two categories: small non-institutional investors (sNII) and big non-institutional investors (bNII). sNII applicants are required to apply for 14 lots (644 shares) amounting to ₹2,09,944, while bNII applications start at 67 lots (3,082 shares) totalling ₹10,04,732. HNI investors are allocated 7,11,93,642 shares (14.96%), reflecting the IPO’s design to accommodate larger institutional-scale participation while maintaining proportional allotment across the segments.
Qualified Institutional Buyers (QIB) Allocated Nearly 50% of Tata Capital IPO
The QIB category dominates the Tata Capital IPO allocation, receiving 23,73,12,140 shares (49.87%), with an additional 14,23,87,284 shares (29.92%) reserved for anchor investors. The anchor investor tranche raised ₹4,641.83 crore, with a lock-in period of 30 days for 50% of shares and 90 days for the remaining 50%, providing market stability ahead of listing. This substantial QIB allocation underscores the IPO’s emphasis on institutional participation and large-scale subscription confidence.
IPO Price Band ₹310–₹326 Per Share, Catering to Retail, HNI and QIB Investors
Tata Capital has set the price band at ₹310–₹326 per share, with a face value of ₹10 per share and a lot size of 46 shares. The IPO’s combined structure of fresh issue and OFS enables capital infusion for Tier-I augmentation while providing selling shareholders with liquidity. Kotak Mahindra Capital Co. Ltd. acts as the book-running lead manager, and MUFG Intime India Pvt. Ltd. serves as registrar for the issue.
