November 10, 2025: Shares of Tata Capital, LG Electronics India, JSW Cement, and All Time Plastics traded mixed on Monday following the end of their IPO shareholder lock-in periods. The expiry unlocked nearly 12.5 crore shares for trading. While not all shares are expected to be sold immediately, they are now eligible for market transactions.

Market-Wide Lock-In Expiry Outlook

Between November 6, 2025, and February 26, 2026, nearly 96 companies will witness the end of pre-listing lock-ins, releasing equity worth approximately USD 33 billion. Despite the large number of shares becoming eligible, actual supply may be limited, as a significant portion remains with promoters and group entities.

Stock-Wise Performance on November 10

  • LG Electronics India freed about 7.1 crore shares, representing 2% of its total equity, from a one-month lock-in. The stock gained 2.21% and closed higher, with a market capitalisation of ₹1,12,000 crore.
  • Tata Capital India released around 3.7 crore shares, equal to 3% of its total equity, marking the end of a three-month lock-in. Shares rose 0.51%, with the company’s market capitalisation at ₹1,38,000 crore.
  • JSW Cement unlocked 3.7 crore shares, also 3% of total equity, from its three-month lock-in. The stock dipped 2.01%, with a market capitalisation of ₹16,718 crore.
  • All Time Plastics released 20 lakh shares, accounting for 3% of total equity under a three-month lock-in. Shares fell 1.88%, and the company’s market capitalisation stands at ₹1,966 crore.

Though the expiry of these lock-in periods floods up the share availability, most of the companies continue to have a relatively strong promoter’s holdings. This move reduces the immediate risk of heavy selling pressure. As the long-term fundamentals remain optimistic, analysts expect short-term volatility in select stocks.
