Mumbai, May 21 – Unified Data-Tech Solutions Limited, an IT infrastructure and cybersecurity company, is set to launch its much-anticipated initial public offering (IPO) on Thursday, May 22, making it the second-largest SME IPO of 2025 after CapitalNumbers Infotech. With a fresh wave of investor enthusiasm building in the small and medium enterprise segment, this ₹144.47 crore issue is drawing significant attention from both retail and institutional participants.

IPO at a Glance

Unified Data-Tech’s IPO will be open for public subscription from May 22 to May 26, with a price band set at ₹260–₹273 per share. The offer consists entirely of an Offer for Sale (OFS), with 52.92 lakh equity shares being offloaded by promoter Hiren Rajendra Mehta. There is no fresh issue, which means the company itself will not receive any proceeds — the entire ₹144.47 crore (at upper band) will go to the selling shareholder.

Company Background: Digitising India’s Enterprises

Incorporated in 2010Unified Data-Tech Solutions Limited is a full-service IT infrastructure and integration company that provides:

  • Data centre architecture and implementation
  • Virtualization and cloud-based solutions
  • Secure application delivery
  • Networking and cybersecurity infrastructure
  • Managed technology advisory services

It serves a diversified clientele across high-dependency sectors like banking and finance (BFSI)pharmaceuticalsmanufacturing, and IT-enabled services.

With digital transformation surging post-pandemic, the company’s enterprise-focused offerings position it well within India’s expanding digital infrastructure ecosystem.

Valuation & Market Positioning

At the upper end of the price band, the company is seeking a valuation of ₹548.46 crore. Given its FY25 performance (up to Feb 2025) which included ₹20,366.27 lakh in total income and ₹3,168.31 lakh in net profit, the implied earnings multiple places it competitively within its peer group in the SME IT services space.

Importantly, the company carries zero debt and shows strong return ratios, including a Return on Net Worth (RONW) of over 33%.

Use of Funds: Promoter Exit Only

Since this IPO is a pure Offer for Sale, all proceeds will go to Hiren Rajendra Mehta, who is paring his stake from 86.53% to 60.19%. The company itself will not receive any capital infusion from the listing.

Despite this, market observers note that the lack of dilution and strong fundamentals continue to make it an attractive bet in the booming digital and infrastructure integration segment.

What Should Investors Watch Out For?

With tech-focused SME IPOs witnessing robust oversubscriptions in 2025, analysts suggest that Unified Data-Tech’s offering could see significant traction, particularly from:

  • Retail investors seeking high-growth, niche IT exposure
  • HNIs and NIIs looking for quality paper in the SME market
  • Institutional funds eyeing post-listing performance driven by digital economy tailwinds

However, investors should also note:

  • The lack of fresh issue, which means no direct business expansion from IPO funds
  • Reliance on key promoters and concentrated ownership post-listing
  • General market risks and liquidity considerations for SME platform stocks

Final Word

As Unified Data-Tech Solutions opens for public subscription on May 22, it offers investors a chance to participate in one of the most talked-about SME listings of the year. With a strong digital footprint, healthy margins, and expanding industry demand, the company’s IPO is poised to test the market’s continued appetite for tech-driven SME stories.

Investors should assess their risk appetite and investment horizon carefully before applying.
