U.S. markets corrected sharply as escalating U.S.–Iran tensions triggered risk aversion, with the Dow dropping over 600 points and broader indices retreating from record highs. Rising crude prices and elevated Treasury yields reinforced inflation concerns, weighing on equities. Asian markets followed suit with declines across key indices.

The rupee weakened amid persistent outflows and oil‑led pressures. Domestically, Nifty saw a late recovery but still closed 78 points lower at 23,405.

Technically, 23,151 remains immediate support, while 23,800 continues to act as a key resistance amid a fragile near‑term trend.
