Mumbai, 4 August 2025: The allotment status for the much-anticipated ₹4,012 crore initial public offering (IPO) of National Securities Depository Limited (NSDL) is expected to be released today.

The IPO concluded last week with a subscription of 41.01 times, reflecting wide participation from retail investors, non-institutional investors (NIIs), and qualified institutional buyers (QIBs).

NSDL IPO Sees 41.02x Subscription; Retail Investors Bid 7.76x as Allotment Day Arrives

NSDL IPO received bids across categories as follows:

  • Retail investors: 7.76 times
  • Non-Institutional Investors (NIIs): 34.98 times
  • Qualified Institutional Buyers (QIBs): 103.97 times

With the finalisation of allotment set for 4 August 2025, investors who applied can now check whether shares have been allotted using the options available through BSE, NSE, and the registrar’s platform.

Applicants can use the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) portal to instantly check the allotment status without requiring login credentials or OTPs.

Steps to check on BSE:

  • Visit: https://www.bseindia.com/investors/appli_check.aspx
  • Select ‘Equity’ as the issue type
  • Choose ‘National Securities Depository Ltd’ from the dropdown
  • Enter your Application Number or PAN
  • Complete the CAPTCHA and click Search

This method is typically among the first to show live allotment results once finalised.

NSE Portal Helps Verify Both IPO Bid Submission and Allotment Status

For those who wish to confirm whether their bid was successfully uploaded, the National Stock Exchange (NSE) offers a reliable option to track both the bid and allotment.

Steps to check on NSE:

  • Visit: https://www.nseindia.com/invest/check-trades-bids-verify-ipo-bids
  • Select ‘Equity & SME IPO Bid Details’
  • Choose ‘National Securities Depository Ltd’
  • Enter PAN and Application Number
  • Click Submit

This is especially useful for verifying whether the IPO application was successfully recorded by the exchange.

Final and Detailed Allotment Results to Be Published by MUFG Intime India Pvt Ltd

The registrar to the IPOMUFG Intime India Pvt Ltd, will host the most comprehensive allotment status, including full, partial, or no allotment details. The platform will also provide updates on refunds and share credits to demat accounts.

  • Visit: https://in.mpms.mufg.com/Initial_Offer/public-issues.html
  • Select ‘National Securities Depository Ltd’
  • Choose a method to search:
    • PAN
    • Application Number

  • Enter the required details and click Submit

NSDL IPO Listing Timeline: Shares to be Credited by August 5, Listing Set for August 6

Following the allotment finalisation, here’s the important post-allotment timeline for investors to track:

  • Allotment Finalisation: 4 August 2025 (Today)
  • Refund Initiation: 5 August 2025
  • Demat Credit of Shares: 5 August 2025
  • Stock Listing on NSE & BSE: 6 August 2025

Investors who do not receive an allotment will begin getting refunds from 5 August, while successful applicants will see shares credited to their demat accounts on the same day.

NSDL Raises ₹1,201.44 Cr from 61 Anchor Investors Ahead of IPO at ₹800 per Share

Before the public issue opened, NSDL allocated 1.50 crore equity shares to 61 anchor investors, raising ₹1,201.44 crore at a price of ₹800 per share.

Some of the leading anchor investors included:

  • Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC): 17,99,982 shares | ₹143.99 crore
  • Smallcap World Fund Inc: 12,51,234 shares | ₹100.09 crore
  • Fidelity Funds – India Focus Fund: 8,12,484 shares | ₹64.99 crore
  • SBI Banking & Financial Services Fund: 6,07,482 shares | ₹48.59 crore
  • HDFC Value Fund: 3,29,994 shares | ₹26.39 crore

In total, 5.29 lakh shares were allotted to 22 mutual fund schemes, representing 35.27% of the anchor book. This allocation reflected robust institutional interest in NSDL prior to its listing.

NSDL IPO Structure: 100% Offer for Sale Comprising 5.01 Crore Equity Shares

The IPO was a complete Offer for Sale (OFS), with no fresh issue of shares. Promoter and existing shareholders sold 5.01 crore equity shares.

The offer was managed by:

  • HSBC Securities
  • SBI Capital Markets
  • IDBI Capital
  • Motilal Oswal Investment Advisors
