Investors in Shree Cement could get about ₹8,000, whereas Colgate-Palmolive shareholders would gain around ₹2,400. Supreme Industries pays a dividend of ₹1,100, while DCM Shriram adds ₹360 more to that figure.

These figures are gross estimates and are subject to taxes and TDS deductions as per prevailing regulations. The actual amount credited might differ considering the demat details and tax status of the shareholder.

Understanding Dividends and Ex-Dates

A dividend is a portion of a company’s profits distributed to its shareholders, representing financial stability and a regular income stream. A firm may declare an interim dividend during the fiscal year and a final dividend after the accounts for the fiscal year have been closed.

Thus, the ex-dividend date marks the cut-off for eligibility. Only those who hold the stock before this date will be eligible to receive the declared dividend; any purchases made on or after the ex-date will not receive it.

Typically, on the ex-dividend date, a company’s share price adjusts downward by roughly the dividend amount, reflecting the payout’s effect on its reserves. Accordingly, investors aiming to receive the interim dividend must purchase the shares by the market close today, October 31, 2025, to qualify for the ex-dividend benefits on November 3, 2025.
