Mumbai, November 7, 2025: Piramal Finance Limited (BSE: 544597, NSE: PIRAMALFIN, ISIN: INE202B01038) made a notable debut on both the BSE and NSE following its merger with Piramal Enterprises Limited (PEL). The listing marked the company’s first trading day as a publicly listed entity, drawing significant investor attention.

Key Listing Details

At the market open on both exchanges, the stock was priced at ₹1,260 and surged to ₹1,323 by 12:10 p.m. IST, marking an intraday gain of 17.68%. The shares were also trading nearly 13% above the adjusted price of ₹1,260. Piramal Enterprises Limited was delisted following the merger, making this listing a smooth transition from PEL to its listed successor, Piramal Finance.

The initial public offering of the shares was under the BE (T Group) series, with a face value of ₹2 each. On the first day of listing, the shares traded within a 52-week range of ₹1,260–₹1,310. Trading volumes were significant, with a turnover of ₹9.04 crore and 0.72 lakh shares exchanged. The volume-weighted average price (VWAP) stood at ₹1,261.42, indicating strong investor participation from the start of the session.

Anchor Investment and Shareholding Structure

The debut of Piramal Finance Limited (PFL), formerly Piramal Capital & Housing Finance Limited, follows the merger with Piramal Enterprises Limited (PEL). Under the merger scheme, each PEL shareholder received one share in PFL. The record date for this allotment was September 23, 2025.

As of September 30, 2025, the total company equity was 22.67 crore shares. The promoter and promoter group, which includes Ajay G. Piramal, Dr. Swati A. Piramal, and Anand Piramal, controlled 46.16% of the equity of the company, while the public shareholders had 53.35%. Employee trusts accounted for 0.49% of the shareholding.

Among the institutional investors are the Quant Small Cap Fund (4.31%), the Life Insurance Corporation of India (4.47%), the Government Pension Fund Global (3.20%), and the East Bridge Capital Master Fund I Ltd (2.10%). This signifies high institutional faith in the company’s growth potential.

Market Snapshot and Stock Performance

The shares of Piramal Finance were trading ₹198.80 higher from the listing price on both BSE and NSE. The company’s market value on debut reached close to ₹28,788 crore, thereby emphasizing the great level of investors’ trust and enthusiasm that prevailed at the time.
