SBI Q2FY26 Net Profit Rises 9.97% YoY to ₹20,160 Crore; Advances Cross ₹44 Trillion

Mumbai, November 4: State Bank of India Limited has announced its financial results for the quarter ending September 30, 2025. It reported a 9.97% rise in its consolidated net profit to ₹20,160 crore, compared to ₹18,331 crore in Q2FY25.
State Bank of India (NSE: SBIN, BSE: 500112) is an Indian public sector bank that provides banking and financial services to individuals and institutions. The bank was established in 1955, and is headquartered in Mumbai, Maharashtra.
State Bank of India Q2FY26 Financial Highlights
SBI’s interest income rose 5.08% YoY to ₹1,19,654 crore and net interest income (NII) rose 3.28% YoY to ₹42,984 crore. Operating profit grew 8.91% YoY to ₹31,904 crore. Profit after tax (PAT) increased nearly 10% YoY to ₹20,160 crore. Sequentially (QoQ), profit rose 5.22%. Domestic Net Interest Margin (NIM) stood at 3.09%, up 7 bps QoQ but slightly lower YoY by 18 bps.
The bank’s gross advances rose 12.73% YoY to ₹44,19,674 crore. Retail personal loans saw a rise of 14.09% and home loans 15.22%. Deposits increased 9.27% YoY to ₹55,91,700 crore. The CASA ratio fell to 39.63% from 40.03% a year ago. However, the ratio improved 27 bps sequentially.
The company’s gross NPA declined to 1.73% (down 40 bps YoY). Net NPA increased to 0.42% (down 11 bps). The Provision Coverage Ratio (PCR) improved to 75.79%. PCR with AUCA rose to 92.29%. The slippage ratio fell to 0.45%, and the credit cost was at 0.39%.
Share Price Rises 0.63% at ₹955.70
As of 2:55 PM, the SBI share price was up by 0.63%, or 6 points, and is trading at ₹955.70. Until now, SBI shares have traded within a range of ₹958.60 and ₹941.50. The current traded volume for the shares of SBI stands at 1.53 crore shares, with the company’s market cap at ₹8,76,632 crore. The shares have their 52-week high at ₹958.60 and their 52-week low at ₹6801.

SBI’s Q2FY26 financial performance indicates that it has been consistent with profits, credit growth and improving its asset quality. The strong financial performance is boosting investor demand, and the shares are trading at a high volume. It remains to be seen if the shares can sustain this performance in the coming days.
