Sunraksha͏k Industrie͏s Share͏ Price Adjus͏ted to ₹254.95 ͏After Split — Technic͏al͏ Fall, Not͏ ͏Value Ero͏sion

At 9:35͏ am͏ IST, ͏Sunraksh͏ak Industries͏’ stock opened͏ and traded flat͏ at ₹254͏.95, marking an app͏a͏rent decline of ₹998.45 (79.66%) from͏ its previous c͏lose͏ of͏ ₹1,253.40 ͏on͏ 16 Oct͏obe͏r 2025. ͏The adjustment follows͏ t͏he ͏company’s d͏ecision to s͏ubdivid͏e each ₹10 face v͏alue share into five sh͏ares ͏of ₹2 each, thereby increasing th͏e to͏tal number of ͏shares f͏iv͏efo͏ld.

This move, aimed at enhancing liquidity and broadening retail participation, proportionally reduces the share price but maintains the same overall shareholder value. The market capitalisation, therefore, remains stable, and the fall does not indicate any fundamental deterioration in the company’s performance.

Face Value Split (₹10 → ₹2) Takes Effect — Retail Liquidity Set to Improve

The stock split became effective today, 17 October 2025, with record date and ex-split trading commencing simultaneously. Under this corporate action, each existing shareholder receives five shares of ₹2 each for every one share of ₹10 held earlier. The objective is to make shares more affordable for small investors and increase turnover on the SME platform.

  • Ex-split trading date: 17 October 2025
  • Face value revision: from ₹10 to ₹2
  • Adjusted reference price: ~₹250.70
  • Pre-split close: ₹1,253.40
  • Market cap post-adjustment: ₹786.05 crore

The recalibration leads to a temporary optical decline of nearly 80%, though it leaves the company’s valuation metrics intact.

Pre-Split Session Recap Shows Modest Decline Before Adjustment

On 16 October 2025, the stock had closed 1.12% lower at ₹1,253.40, compared to its previous close of ₹1,267.55. During that session, it touched an intraday high of ₹1,279.90 and a low of ₹1,230.05, with a VWAP (Volume Weighted Average Price) of ₹1,249.07. The total turnover stood at ₹2.46 crore, with 4,086 shares changing hands. The company’s market capitalisation as of Thursday’s close was ₹777.28 crore.

The mild pre-split correction reflected routine market consolidation ahead of the corporate action rather than any material news affecting fundamentals.

The sharp 79.66% decline in Sunrakshak Industries’ share price is a technical adjustment resulting from the face value split from ₹10 to ₹2 per share, with no impact on the company’s market capitalisation or intrinsic value. The move is designed to increase liquidity and make the stock more accessible to smaller investors while maintaining the company’s valuation stability on the BSE SME platform.
