Adani Energy Solutions Q2FY26 Net Profit Declines 28% YoY to ₹557 Crore; Revenue Up 7%

Ahmedabad, October 27, 2025 – Adani Energy Solutions Ltd (NSE: ADANIENSOL) reported a consolidated net profit of ₹557.10 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2025 (Q2FY26), marking a 27.9% year-on-year decline from ₹773.39 crore in the same period last year. However, on a sequential basis, profit grew 3.4% from ₹538.94 crore in Q1FY26, aided by consistent revenue and tighter operational control.
Revenue and Income Trends
The overall income of the company grew 6.4% year-on-year to ₹6,767.15 crore from ₹6,359.80 crore in Q2FY25. Operating revenue grew 6.7% YoY to ₹6,595.83 crore on account of primarily increased regulated transmission income. Other income fell marginally to ₹171.32 crore, while total income fell 3.7% quarter-on-quarter owing to reduced non-operational gains.
Stock Performance
Shares of stock Adani Energy closed at ₹945.05 on October 27, 2025, marking a marginal gain of ₹0.80 or 0.085% for the day. The shares opened at ₹945.20 and moved between a high of ₹951.80 and a low of ₹942.00 during the trading session. The company’s market capitalisation stood at ₹1.14 lakh crore, with a price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio of 45.18. The stock has recorded a 52-week high of ₹1,090.95 and a 52-week low of ₹588.00. No dividend yield or quarterly dividend amount was reported for the period.
Expense and Profitability Analysis
Total expenses remained almost flat at ₹5,687.83 crore aided by optimization efforts. Cost of power purchased increased 12% YoY to ₹1,600.51 crore, and construction costs under service concession arrangements increased to ₹1,624.76 crore from ₹1,286.96 crore during the previous year, indicating robust project execution. Finance charges rose to ₹871.66 crore due to increased debt servicing, and depreciation increased marginally to ₹509.41 crore. Nevertheless, profit before tax rose 25.5% YoY to ₹745.67 crore on the back of firm regulated returns and cost management.
Half-Yearly Performance
For H1FY26, overall income rose 16.4% YoY to ₹13,792.64 crore and profit after tax jumped to ₹1,096.04 crore from a loss of ₹417.27 crore during H1FY25. The financial turnaround of the company reflects operational strengths and consistent network expansion.
