Apollo Tyres has allotted ₹500 crore of secured non-convertible debentures through private placement, while shares fall 0.17%.

Mumbai, September 30: Apollo Tyres has allotted ₹500 crore worth of secured, listed, rated, redeemable non-convertible debentures (NCDs) through a private placement, as the tyre maker looks to raise funds from the debt market.
According to the exchange filing, the company’s Committee of Directors-NCDs approved the allotment of 50,000 NCDs with a face value of ₹1 lakh each, aggregating to ₹500 crore.
The NCDs have been issued on a private placement basis and are proposed to be listed on the National Stock Exchange of India. The securities are secured, rated, listed, redeemable and non-convertible in nature.
The date of allotment is September 30, 2026, while the maturity date has been set for September 28, 2029.

The stock was down ₹0.70, or 0.17%, at the time. Shares remained largely range-bound through much of the afternoon session before ending the displayed period near ₹406.

NCDs Carry 7.81% Annual Interest
The newly allotted debentures carry an interest rate of 7.81% per annum, with interest payable annually. The principal will be repaid through bullet repayment at maturity.
The debentures will be secured through a first pari-passu charge over specified tangible movable fixed assets of the company, subject to certain exclusions. Apollo Tyres is required to maintain a security cover of 1.25 times on the book value basis.
The filing also specifies a penal interest rate of 1% per annum in case of delayed payment of interest or principal beyond the stipulated period.
Apollo Tyres Debt Issue Details
The ₹500 crore issuance forms part of Apollo Tyres’ debt-market funding programme. The company has classified the securities as secured redeemable NCDs, with the issue carrying a three-year maturity period from the allotment date.
The NCDs are expected to be listed on the NSE, giving the privately placed securities a listed status while retaining their debt-market structure.
The company’s Committee of Directors-NCDs met on September 30, 2026, with the meeting beginning at 2:15 PM and concluding at 2:40 PM, according to the filing.
