Mumbai August, 31: Ather Energy Limited unveiled its new Konarc electric scooter along with a new-generation battery platform, apartment charging system and connected vehicle health product, with the stock gaining 2.58% in early trade.
The announcements came at Ather’s fourth Community Day on August 29, 2026, where the electric two-wheeler maker showcased products aimed at different parts of the EV ownership cycle.
Konarc is the biggest product announcement. It is the first scooter built on Ather’s new EL platform and will be available in six variants across the S and Z product lines. Depending on the variant, the scooter will offer IDC range options of 100 km to 200 km.
Ather has also introduced its fifth-generation Bedrock battery platform. The battery comes with BreachSense, a monitoring system designed to identify microscopic damage that could allow moisture to enter the battery. The company said the new battery will carry a 10-year or 1,00,000 km warranty, whichever comes earlier, along with a 70% state-of-health guarantee.
Stock Market Snapshot
Ather Energy shares were trading at ₹1,658 as of 10:13:41 AM IST on August 31, 2026, up ₹41.70, or 2.58%, according to the market data provided.
The stock opened around ₹1,645 and initially moved higher before giving back some of the gains. It then recovered during the morning and was holding near ₹1,658 at the cited timestamp.
Ather Energy share price was therefore up more than 2.5% as investors responded to the company’s latest product and technology announcements.

Ather Takes EV Ownership Beyond The Scooter
One notable part of the Community Day was that Ather’s announcements were not limited to a new vehicle.
The company introduced AtherNode, a charging management system designed for apartment and commercial communities where limited sanctioned electrical capacity can make it difficult to add more EV chargers. A single central gateway can manage up to 1,000 chargers, while the system monitors available load and adjusts charging accordingly.
Ather also launched Ather True Health, a connected-vehicle report that brings together information on a scooter’s battery, motor, dashboard, charging system, belt and brakes. The service also provides an estimated resale value for eligible scooters based on the vehicle’s condition and usage history.
In practical terms, these products address some of the less visible issues that come with owning an EV, particularly charging availability, battery confidence and understanding a vehicle’s condition as it gets older.
New Bedrock Battery Focuses On Safety And Longer Life
The fifth-generation Bedrock battery is another key part of Ather’s latest technology push.
The company said its new cell-balancing capability is five times higher than that of the previous generation. Ather expects this to help its battery packs maintain around 70% state of health for approximately 750,000 km to 1.2 million km, compared with around 80,000 km to 1,00,000 km for the previous generation.
BreachSense is intended to add another layer of battery monitoring. The system is designed to identify micro-cracks within hours of damage and alert Ather so that action can be taken where required.
The company has also extended battery coverage to 10 years or 1,00,000 km, whichever comes first, subject to the applicable terms.
Ather Builds Out Its EV Ecosystem
Konarc brings the product side of the announcement into focus, but the wider launch shows Ather trying to build an ecosystem around its scooters.
AtherNode tackles charging constraints in residential buildings, while Ather True Health uses the company’s connected-vehicle data to give owners a clearer picture of their scooter’s condition and potential resale value.
The company said Konarc also comes with features such as Advanced Electronic Braking System, MagicKey, AutoPop and AirWalk. Its charging setup supports onboard charging and combined charging, which Ather said can reduce home charging time by up to half.
Together, the announcements cover the vehicle, its battery, charging infrastructure and what happens during ownership. That makes the latest Community Day broader than a conventional model launch.
Ather Continues Its Product And Technology Expansion
Ather Energy operates in India’s electric two-wheeler market, with its current product portfolio including the 450 series and Rizta.
The company said that as of June 30, 2026, it held 323 registered patents, 270 registered designs and 52 registered applications, with its technology portfolio also covering charging infrastructure and connected-vehicle systems.
The latest launches add another layer to that strategy. Rather than relying only on new scooter models, Ather is expanding the technology surrounding the vehicle, from battery monitoring and charging management to maintenance information and resale assessment.
Conclusion
Ather’s latest Community Day was effectively a four-part product and technology update, with Konarc leading the announcement and the new Bedrock battery, AtherNode and True Health filling out the ownership proposition.
The company has put greater emphasis on issues that become increasingly important as India’s EV market matures, including battery durability, charging capacity and the ability to track a vehicle’s condition. Ather Energy shares were up 2.58% at ₹1,658 as of 10:13:41 AM IST on August 31, 2026.
