Brightcom Group Rises 4.74% After AI Defence MoU with US-Based CQT Weapon Systems

Hyderabad, September 10, 2025: Shares of Brightcom Group Limited (NSE: BCG, BSE: 532368) rose in early Wednesday trading after the firm announced a Memorandum of Understanding with Michigan-based CQT Weapon Systems for collaborating to create AI-based defence solutions.
At 10:52 am IST, Brightcom shares were trading 4.74% higher at ₹15.69, compared to the previous close of ₹14.98. The scrip opened at ₹15.45, which was also its intraday high, while the lowest was at ₹15.29. Market activity saw heavy churn, with buying orders of 8.04 lakh shares pitted against selling orders of 10.65 lakh shares.
Brightcom Group (NSE: BCG, BSE: 532368), formerly Lycos Internet, is a tech company based in Hyderabad dealing in digital marketing, software services, and artificial intelligence-based platforms. It officially forayed into the defence sector in August 2025 by launching Brightcom Defence, a vertical with operations in aerospace intelligence, autonomous systems, and national security solutions based on artificial intelligence.
Partnership to Build AI-Powered Defence Systems
Under the MoU, Brightcom will integrate its AI software platforms into CQT’s tactical hardware, including rifles, precision components, and ready-to-deploy systems. The partnership will target defence ministries around the world, focus on technology transfer for localisation, and roll out AI-enabled solutions like swarm coordination, autonomous combat systems, and enhanced situational intelligence.
Brightcom Chairman Suresh Reddy said that the alliance enables the company’s software innovations to mature into deployable weapons for national defense. CQT CEO Al Dustan II also said that Brightcom’s AI experience would enable CQT’s tactical hardware to become smarter and more responsive.
