Mumbai, September 25: DEE Development Engineers Limited’s share price is on the rise today, on September 25, after the company announced that the Punjab & Haryana High Court has stayed a tariff cut order related to the company’s 8 MW Abohar biomass power plant. As of 3:05 PM, the shares were up by 2.03%, or 5.65 points, and were trading at ₹284. Until now, the shares have traded within a range of ₹288.40 and ₹281. The traded volume stands at 1.43 lakh shares, with the company’s market cap at ₹1,934 crore. The shares have their 52-week range between ₹167-₹360.

DEE Development Engineers Limited is an Indian company engaged in the manufacturing of piping systems for a variety of industries, including oil and gas, power (including nuclear), chemicals, and fertilisers. The company was established in 1988, and its headquarters are in Gurugram, Haryana, India. The shares of the company are listed on NSE with the ticker symbol DEEDEV and on BSE with the code 544198.

Court Staying Tariff Cut

The rise in the share price comes after the company announced that the Punjab & Haryana High Court has stayed a tariff cut order related to the company’s 8 MW Abohar biomass power plant. The stay will allow DEE Development to keep supplying power to Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) at ₹7.47 per unit. This allows the company to supply the power at a higher tariff, instead of the lower tariffs of ₹5.26/unit and ₹5.672/unit earlier fixed by the regulator. Furthermore, the court order will also result in suspending PSPCL’s claim for retrospective recovery of up to ₹16.74 crore.

The court order will help the company earn more revenue from supplying power to Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL). The increased revenue will contribute positively to its cash flows and potentially lead to higher profits.
