GIFT Nifty Indicates Mildly Positive Opening for the Indian Stock Market Today

Mumbai, November 14: The Indian stock market and all the included indices are expected to open on a mildly positive note today. This opening is indicated by Gift Nifty, which was trading higher by 0.23%, or 58.50 points, at 25,884.50. Until now, the index has traded within a range of 25,888 and 25,820.
Sensex and Nifty Ended Higher Yesterday
Yesterday, on November 13, both Sensex and Nifty ended the day in the green. The Sensex jumped by 12.16 points (0.01%) to close at 84,478.67. Nifty 50 increased 3.35 points (0.01%) to close at 25,879.15.
FIIs Turned Net Sellers While DIIs Net Buyers
On November 13, Foreign Institutional Investors turned net sellers and sold Indian equities worth ₹383.68 crore net. On the other hand, Domestic Institutional Investors bought Indian equities worth ₹3,091.87 crore net.
Global Market Signals
Overnight, US markets ended lower. The Dow Jones fell by 1.65%, the S&P 500 by 1.66%, and the Nasdaq Composite fell by 2.29%. Asian markets have also opened lower today. The Nikkei Index fell by 1.65%, the Hang Seng Index by 1.13%, the TOPIX by 0.82%, and the JPX Nikkei Index 400 by 0.74%.
Commodities and Currency Highlights
Oil prices increased by 1.97%. The Indian rupee fell 0.098 paise and was trading at 88.68 per US dollar. Gold prices also rose for the sixth straight session at ₹1,35,933.40 per 10 grams.
Mildly Positive Opening Expected Today
As indicated by Gift Nifty, the Indian stock market is expected to open mildly positively today. However, with mixed global signals, the stock market may witness negative volatility. Investors will be tracking Q2 earnings, institutional activity, and global developments for trading cues today.
