Mumbai, September 24, 2025: Tata Investment Corporation extended its rally, climbing to a fresh 52-week high over the past two sessions following the announcement of a 1:10 stock split. The move has reignited investor interest, with expectations of improved liquidity and increased retail participation.

What’s Driving the Rally

The company approved the subdivision of each equity share of face value ₹10 into 10 shares of ₹1 each, all fully paid. The stock split aims to enhance availability for small investors and boost trading volumes. The board has set 14 October 2025 as the record date to identify shareholders eligible for the split. Speculative buying, prompted by the announcement and the impending split, has significantly contributed to the stock’s upward momentum.

Recent Performance & Market Reaction

The stock has risen around 17 percent in the last two trading days. Shares of Tata Investment Corporation ended the day at ₹8,721.00, marking a 7.16% gain with a strong finish after intraday advances. The stock hit fresh highs during trading as investors positioned ahead of the upcoming corporate action. Over the past six months, the share has surged approximately 30%, reflecting sustained investor confidence.

Q1 Performance Snapshot

Consolidated profit after tax (PAT) in its first quarter increased by 11.6 percent year-on-year to ₹146.30 crore from ₹131.07 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. Revenue from operations was at ₹145.46 crore compared to ₹142.46 crore, a growth of 2.1 percent. On a standalone level, net profit was at ₹139.22 crore (an increase of 23.5 percent) and revenue was up by 21 percent year-on-year.

The stock split has been viewed as a tactical step to enhance the liquidity and affordability of the shares, hence the broadening investor base. Coupled with good quarterly performance, the split has further boosted optimism in the counter.
