The Sadbhav Engineering price has displayed extreme volatility over the past decade, shaped by the company’s financial performance, order book growth, and broader infrastructure sector cycles. The Sadbhav Engineering share price delivered a positive return of 35.9% in calendar year 2023 and 23.3% in 2024, reflecting some recovery from earlier declines. However, the Sadbhav Engineering share price experienced a negative return of 60.4% in 2025, a negative return of 58.4% in 2022, and a negative return of 48.9% in 2019. Over the 10-year period ending April 2026, the Sadbhav Engineering share price has delivered a cumulative return of approximately -30.2%, significantly underperforming the BSE Capital Goods index which delivered 17.7% over the same period. The Sadbhav Engineering stock price has been particularly responsive to quarterly earnings releases and order book announcements. When the company reported a net loss for recent quarters, the Sadbhav Engineering stock price showed a negative reaction. The Sadbhav Engineering share price has shown a pattern of positive momentum in years when the company‘s order book expanded and execution accelerated, while periods of slower project awards or concerns over financial health have contributed to consolidation in the Sadbhav Engineering stock price. The Sadbhav Engineering share price has delivered a 3-year total return of approximately -7.64%, a 5-year total return of -87.62%, and a 10-year total return of -97.29%, reflecting the stock’s extreme volatility and long-term underperformance. The Sadbhav Engineering share price has shown a YTD return of approximately -25.4% as of April 2026, underperforming the BSE Capital Goods index which delivered 0% over the same period. The Sadbhav Engineering share price has shown a 1-month return of -24.9% and a 3-month return of -26.7% as of April 2026. The Sadbhav Engineering share price reached its 52-week high of 17.85 before declining to its 52-week low of 6.05, reflecting the extreme volatility inherent in the construction sector. The Sadbhav Engineering share price has shown a 10-year price CAGR of approximately -29.9% as of April 2026, indicating severe long-term wealth erosion. Comprehending these patterns in the Sadbhav Engineering share price is instrumental for investors seeking to contextualise long term performance trends vis à vis short term price dynamics, as the Sadbhav Engineering stock price movements illustrate how industry fundamentals, government policy cycles, financial distress indicators, and investor expectations converge in market pricing.
Sadbhav Engineering holds a challenging position for portfolio investors seeking exposure to the Indian infrastructure construction sector. The company‘s diversified project portfolio across roads, irrigation, mining, and EPC services aligns it with investment strategies that value government infrastructure spending. The Sadbhav Engineering share price often mirrors how these themes resonate with investor portfolios, though the company’s severe financial distress significantly limits institutional interest.
Institutional stakeholders play a minimal role in Sadbhav Engineering‘s ownership profile. The promoters held approximately 25.52% of the company as of December 2025, showing a significant decrease from 36.22% in June 2025. Mutual fund holders of Sadbhav Engineering are negligible, with mutual funds holding 0% of the company as of December 2025. Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) hold approximately 0.33% of the company. Domestic Institutional Investors (DIIs) hold approximately 0.01% of the company. Retail and other shareholders hold approximately 74.13% of the company. Promoters have pledged 42.67% of their holding, which is a significant red flag indicating potential financial stress. The complete lack of mutual fund holding and extremely low institutional holding raises serious questions about professional investor confidence in the company‘s prospects. The Sadbhav Engineering share price reflects that the company’s severe financial distress, negative net worth, and high promoter pledging create substantial risk for investors. The Sadbhav Engineering stock price is thus viewed as a highly distressed opportunity with extremely high risk characteristics.
The sector relevance of Sadbhav Engineering is anchored in its role within the broader Indian construction and infrastructure engineering industry, where it competes with other diversified EPC companies. As part of this industry, the company‘s strategic positioning connects road and highway construction, irrigation projects, and mining contract services that serve multiple infrastructure needs. Competitors in adjacent segments include companies such as Larsen & Toubro Limited, GMR Airports Limited, Rail Vikas Nigam Limited, NBCC (India) Limited, Kalpataru Projects International Limited, and IRB Infrastructure Developers Limited. Firms with parallels in either EPC execution capabilities or road construction expertise are often referenced when evaluating relative performance and operational positioning within the sector.

For several years, the company‘s market cap remained at relatively moderate levels. Subsequently, from recent periods through the current date, the market cap has shown a catastrophic declining trend, contracting by over 97% from its previous levels. The company reported a net loss of approximately ₹166 crore for FY2025. The 10-year aggregate net profit stands at approximately ₹-2,064.85 crore. This negative EPS trajectory reflects the company‘s persistent losses and inability to generate consistent per-share profitability, with the TTM EPS standing at approximately ₹4.4 according to some sources, though this may reflect data inconsistencies.
Sadbhav Engineering P/E ratio history has been defined by extreme fluctuations and periods of not meaningful values. For most years when the company reported losses, the P/E ratio was negative or not meaningful. The P/E ratio is not available as TTM earnings are negative. The P/B ratio of Sadbhav Engineering is -0.51 times as of April 2026, a 127% discount to its peers‘ median range of 1.90 times. The P/E ratio is not considered a meaningful valuation metric for the company at this time due to its inconsistent and negative earnings performance.
Sadbhav Engineering is a distressed Indian construction company listed on both the NSE and BSE, where the Sadbhav Engineering share price reflects infrastructure policy cycles, order book execution, and severe financial distress. Its representation in stock indices provides some visibility, but investor interest is heavily constrained by persistent losses, negative net worth, low promoter holding with high pledging, and minimal institutional interest. Within the sector, the company‘s financial position is significantly weaker compared to industry peers
