Fast markets can leave little time to move between charts, option chains, and order windows. HDFC SKY brings these functions together with Scalper Mode on its web platform. The workspace combines live charts, direct order execution, position management, and trading controls in one interface. A single sidebar also keeps supporting tools accessible. This design brings key trading functions closer together for active traders who need quick access during rapidly changing market conditions.
What Scalper Mode Brings to HDFC SKY Web
Scalper Mode provides a dedicated workspace for active options trading on HDFC SKY Web. It brings market monitoring, order placement, and position management into a connected interface, allowing traders to access these functions without repeatedly moving between separate screens.
Designed for Active Options Trading
HDFC SKY developed Scalper Mode in-house around the requirements of fast-moving options markets. The workspace combines several trading functions while keeping the primary market view at the centre.
The setup covers the main stages of a trade, from reviewing the underlying and option contracts to entering and managing a position.
The key features include:
- A 3-pane chart layout for spot, call, and put charts
- Direct order placement from the trading screen
- Chart-based stop-loss and target adjustments
- Preset parameters for selected order types
- A sidebar for option chain, positions, orders, alerts, and SKAI
Let’s review these in a little more detail.
- 3-Pane Command Centre Puts Spot, Call, and Put Charts Together
The 3-pane command centre gives traders a simultaneous view of the underlying market and its related options. Instead of opening separate charts for different contracts, the workspace displays the spot chart alongside the relevant call and put charts.
- Linked Charts and Contract Selection
The charts remain connected when traders change the strike price or expiry. The relevant selections update across the workspace, reducing the need to repeat the same changes across individual charts.
The layout also connects the charts with the option chain and Greeks. This allows traders to view price movement alongside contract-level information within the same trading environment.
- Market Information at a Glance
The three-chart arrangement is designed to keep the underlying and both option sides visible together. Traders can therefore compare the market view with the selected call and put contracts before moving to order execution.
- One-Click Execution Simplifies Order Placement
Once traders have selected the relevant contract, Scalper Mode provides direct access to order placement from the trading screen. The order function sits alongside the market view rather than requiring a separate order window.
- Direct Order Entry
This arrangement reduces the steps required to move from monitoring a price to initiating an order. Traders can access the execution function while continuing to view the relevant market information.
The feature focuses specifically on order entry, while separate tools within Scalper Mode handle stop-loss, target, and position adjustments after execution.
Visual Order Management Keeps Position Adjustments on the Chart
Scalper Mode extends order management beyond the initial entry by allowing traders to adjust key exit levels directly on the chart.
- Drag-and-Adjust Stop-Loss and Targets
Traders can move stop-loss and target levels by dragging them to the required price. The interface displays the effect of the adjustment as the level moves.
It shows tick distance, percentage offset, and expected P&L. This provides immediate visibility into how changing an exit level affects the position.
- One-Tap Exit
Scalper Mode also provides a one-tap exit option for closing a position. When a trader exits, linked orders are cancelled as part of the process.
Built-In Risk Controls Add Preset Parameters
Scalper Mode includes predefined settings within its order workflow. These controls are intended to simplify orders that require specific price parameters.
- Bracket Order Buffer
Bracket orders use a default 0.15% buffer between the trigger price and the limit price. This defines the price difference between the two levels within the order setup.
- 1-Tap Mode
The 1-Tap Mode allows traders to place market orders with preset stop-loss and target levels. Instead of entering these levels separately for each order, traders can use the predefined parameters available in the mode.
These controls address order parameters, while the sidebar provides access to supporting market and trading information.
One Sidebar Keeps Supporting Tools Accessible
The Scalper Mode sidebar brings secondary trading tools into one accessible area. Traders can refer to supporting information without leaving the primary workspace.
The sidebar provides access to:
- Option chain
- Open positions
- Order tracking
- Market alerts
- SKAI AI assistant
The sidebar complements the main chart area rather than replacing it. The charts remain the primary market view, while the side panel provides additional information and utilities when required.
How the Features Work Together
Scalper Mode connects separate stages of active options trading within the same interface. Traders can start with the 3-pane chart view, select the relevant strike or expiry, and review the connected option information.
The trading flow can then move from chart analysis to direct order placement. Once the order is executed, stop-loss and target levels can be adjusted visually on the chart, while preset controls handle defined order parameters.
Open positions, orders, alerts, and other supporting information remain accessible through the sidebar. The result is a workflow in which each feature serves a specific function without requiring traders to leave the main trading environment.
Conclusion
Scalper Mode brings charts, order execution, position management, and supporting tools into one HDFC SKY Web interface. Its connected 3-pane view, direct execution, chart-based adjustments, preset parameters, and sidebar address different stages of active options trading while keeping the core trading functions accessible from one workspace.
