With a price band of ₹1,065–₹1,119 per share, a lot size of 12 shares and an issue size of up to ₹30,213 crore, applicants can submit their bids through HDFC Sky once the issue opens. The process involves selecting the IPO, entering the bid quantity and price, providing a UPI ID and approving the payment mandate.

Jio Platforms IPO Opens on 21 October with a ₹30,213 Crore Issue

The Jio Platforms IPO comprises a 100% fresh issue of 27 crore equity shares, with the company proposing to raise up to ₹30,213 crore. The subscription window is scheduled to run from 21 October to 23 October 2026, with the shares proposed to be listed on the BSE and NSE.

The issue proceeds are intended to support the prepayment or repayment of certain outstanding borrowings of Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited, estimated at ₹27,500 crore, and general corporate purposes. The tentative allotment date is 26 October 2026, while the tentative listing date is 28 October 2026.

How to Apply for Jio Platforms IPO Through HDFC Sky

Applicants can submit their bids through HDFC Sky’s IPO facility after the Jio Platforms IPO opens for subscription. The application process requires the applicant to select the issue, specify the bid quantity and price, enter a UPI ID and approve the payment mandate. HDFC Bank customers trading on HDFC SKY also get benefit of SKY Direct feature to subscribe to Jio Platforms IPO.

With SKY Direct, investors can trade without moving funds from one account to other to facilitate trade. The funds stay in their HDFC Bank account earning applicable interest while the required amount is put on hold. The funds will be debited only if you are allotted shares. If you do not get shares, the amount is released automatically without any manual request.

Step 1: Log in to HDFC Sky

Open the HDFC Sky app or access the platform through its website and log in using the registered credentials. Navigate to the IPO section to view the issues available for subscription.

Step 2: Select Jio Platforms IPO

Locate Jio Platforms IPO in the list of available issues and select it. Review the displayed issue details, including the subscription dates, price band and lot size, before proceeding with the application.

Step 3: Enter the Number of Lots and Bid Price

Enter the number of lots you wish to apply for. The lot size is 12 shares, and the permitted bid price ranges from ₹1,065 to ₹1,119 per share. Applicants can select a price within this range or choose the cut-off option if available and applicable to their category.

Step 4: Provide the UPI ID / Apply with SKY Direct

Enter your UPI ID to block the application amount. HDFC Bank users can take advantage of SKY Direct to apply hassle-free via ASBA without moving funds out of their account. Review the bid quantity, price and other application details carefully before submitting the application.

Step 5: Submit the Application and Approve the Mandate

Submit the application through HDFC SKY. Open the relevant UPI app, check the payment mandate details and approve the request within the prescribed deadline. Submitting the bid alone does not complete the payment process; the required mandate must also be approved.

After the mandate is approved, the application amount is blocked in the linked bank account rather than immediately debited. The final debit or release of the blocked amount depends on the allotment outcome and the applicable settlement process.

₹13,428 Minimum Bid Applies to the 12-Share Lot

The Jio Platforms IPO has a lot size of 12 shares, with the minimum application amount depending on the selected bid price. At the upper price band of ₹1,119 per share, one lot amounts to ₹13,428.

The calculation is straightforward: 12 shares multiplied by ₹1,119 per share equals ₹13,428. Applying for additional lots increases the application amount proportionately. Applicants must enter quantities in multiples of the prescribed lot size and ensure that sufficient funds are available in the linked bank account.

PAN, Demat Account and UPI Details Needed for Applications

Applicants generally require an active Demat account, a valid Permanent Account Number (PAN), a bank account with sufficient funds and a UPI ID linked to the bank account when using the UPI application route.

The Demat account is required to receive shares if an allotment is made. Applicants should ensure that the personal and banking details entered during the application are accurate. The UPI mandate must be approved within the applicable deadline for the application to proceed through the required payment process.

ASBA Provides an Alternative Route for IPO Applications

Applicants who prefer not to use the UPI route can apply through the Application Supported by Blocked Amount (ASBA) facility, where available through their bank. Under this method, the applicant selects the IPO through the bank’s designated application facility, enters the bid details and authorises the bank to block the corresponding amount.

The amount remains blocked until the allotment process is completed. Any amount not required following allotment is released according to the applicable process. The UPI and ASBA routes operate under the relevant IPO application rules, and applicants should follow the instructions provided by their chosen application channel.
