Nifty Ends Flat Amid Intraday Volatility; Mid & Small caps Outperform

Nifty ended almost flat at 24,326, slipping just 4 points after an intraday swing of nearly 200 points. Early gains faded as profit booking set in, though broader market strength persisted. Autos, realty, and financials outperformed, while consumer durables, IT, and FMCG lagged. Midcaps and smallcaps outpaced the benchmark with strong breadth.

The rupee appreciated for a second session, supported by softer crude prices, a weaker dollar, and inflows through domestic banks. Despite intraday volatility, Nifty’s structure remains constructive with support at 24,000 and resistance near 24,600.
