U.S. equities ended the week higher, snapping a multi‑week losing streak as AI momentum overshadowed rising yields and hawkish central‑bank signals. The Nasdaq gained 2.1%, the S&P 500 rose 1.2%, and the Dow added 0.3%, even as the 10‑year Treasury briefly hit 5.23%, its highest since 2007. Softer geopolitical risk with talks on reopening the Strait of Hormuz and limited U.S. China tariff reductions supported Friday’s rally.

In India, Nifty fell 1.1% for its seventh straight weekly decline, pressured by elevated crude and global yields. A late rebound lifted Nifty to 23,140, but 23,300–23,600 remains stiff resistance. Support lies at 23,000, followed by 22,700. A sustained move above 23,600 is needed to turn near‑term bias constructive.
