U.S. equities ended the week modestly higher, recouping mid‑week volatility tied to inflation data, Treasury buyback signals and Chair Warsh’s Jackson Hole remarks. Warsh’s emphasis on needing “clear and sufficiently fast” disinflation pushed September hike odds higher, lifting front‑end yields (2‑yr to 4.35%). Nvidia’s strong results supported tech, though semiconductors lagged on concerns over long‑term AI spending returns. The dollar saw its strongest gain in months, while gold and silver sold off.

In India, Nifty slipped 76 points, extending its fourth week of consolidation. DIIs continued absorbing FII supply. All eyes now turn to Q1 FY27 GDP, the key domestic catalyst, along with U.S. jobs data, ISM manufacturing and monthly auto sales.
