Company Background

A B Infrabuild Limited is an infrastructure engineering and construction contractor engaged primarily in road, highway and civil infrastructure development projects. The company executes projects through EPC contracts involving construction of roads, bridges, underpasses and allied transport infrastructure.

Projects are typically awarded by government authorities, public sector undertakings and infrastructure agencies, with contract execution governed by detailed tender specifications and milestone-based payment structures.

EPC contracts place responsibility for engineering design, procurement of materials and construction delivery on the contractor. In exchange, the contractor receives a fixed project value, with risk allocation defined through performance security clauses and milestone compliance provisions.

The latest contract award from NHAI adds to the company’s order inflow from India’s national highway development programme.

Conclusion

The ₹62.94 crore EPC mandate from the National Highways Authority of India strengthens A B Infrabuild’s order pipeline and extends its footprint within the NH-16 corridor development programme in Odisha.

Execution timelines — set at 18 months will now determine the revenue recognition cycle for the project, subject to progress milestones and compliance conditions outlined in the tender documents. For now, the disclosure signals incremental order visibility, though the market response remained restrained in Thursday’s trading session.
