Investor Takeaway

Companies launch rights issues to raise additional capital from the existing shareholders. Allcargo Terminals has opened its right issue today, by offering its shares at a discount to the current market price. However, the shares are witnessing selling pressure, as investors are likely waiting for a lower and discounted price. However, the rights issue is likely to benefit the company, which will use the funds for business expansion.
