Mumbai, May 8: Marsons Limited said it has received a purchase order worth ₹18.88 crore, including GST, from Ram Taranga Solutions Private Limited for the supply of power transformers and inverter duty transformers.

According to the company’s regulatory filing submitted under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, the order includes supply of 100/125 MVA 220 kV power transformers along with 16.8 MVA inverter duty transformers.

The company said the contract has been awarded by a domestic entity and is expected to be executed within six months.

Marsons also clarified that the transaction does not involve related party arrangements and that promoter or promoter group entities do not have any interest in the awarding company.

The latest order adds to the company’s execution pipeline at a time when transformer manufacturers are seeing rising demand from transmission infrastructure upgrades, renewable energy integration and grid expansion projects across the country.

The power equipment sector has remained in focus over the past year as utilities and infrastructure developers accelerate investments in transmission networks and energy evacuation systems.

Stock Market Snapshot

Despite the fresh order announcement, shares of Marsons came under heavy selling pressure during the session.

The stock closed at ₹160.59 on May 8, down 5.94% from the previous close of ₹170.76, according to market data.

As of 3:18 p.m. IST, the stock remained weak throughout the trading session.

The decline suggested that broader market sentiment and concerns around execution, working capital requirements and margin visibility continued weighing on investor mood despite the positive business update.

Electrical equipment and industrial manufacturing stocks witnessed mixed movement during th session as investors remained selective across the sector.
