Ather Energy to Unveil Mass-market Electric Scooter in August; Shares Up

Mumbai, July 15: Two-wheeler maker Ather Energy will unveil its first mass-market electric scooter, built on the next-generation vehicle architecture, at its flagship event Community Day in Bangalore on August 29.
Alongside the new scooter, Ather said it will also introduce a range of innovations across technology, charging, and the ecosystem that will make the ownership experience more seamless and connected.
The scooter is built on the next-generation vehicle architecture which is the company’s first all-new vehicle platform EL, since the launch of the 450 platform in 2016.

Ather Energy share price surged in early trade on Wednesday, extending its rally as buying interest remained strong.
The stock was trading at ₹1,298.40, up 8.04%, as of 9:52 AM IST on July 15. It opened at ₹1,225.00 and traded in the ₹1,225.00 to ₹1,310.00 range during the morning, according to NSE data.
The sharp gain pushed the stock close to the day’s trading range ceiling, indicating sustained buying momentum after the opening bell.
New Vehicle Platform
Engineered from the ground up for greater versatility, scalability, and manufacturing efficiency, the new vehicle platform will underpin the company’s future product portfolio across segments.
“The theme for this year’s event is ‘A New Dawn of Magic’, where Ather will unveil the first scooter from its new EL platform, marking its entry into the mass-market scooter segment,” the company said.
The first scooter built on this platform marks a significant milestone for Ather, enabling the company to address the mass-market through the Rs 1 lakh-Rs 1.25 lakh price segment while expanding its total addressable market and opening the next chapter of growth, it said.
The Ather Community Day 2026 will bring together thousands of Ather owners, automotive and technology enthusiasts, and partners for a first look at the products, technologies, and experiences that Ather has been building.
