Bajaj Finance, Eternal shares gain as markets start the day on a flat note

Indian equity markets have started the day today, 15^th September, 2025 on a flat note. At 9:30 a.m. Nifty 50 is down by 3.80 points or 0.015%. Sensex is up by 4.45 points or 0.0054%.

Top gainers & losers

Top three gainers at Nifty 50 at this time are Bajaj Finance, Eternal and Bajaj Auto. Top three losers at this time are Apollo Hospitals, Infosys, and Dr Reddy’s.

Among sectoral indices, Nifty Realty index is the top gainer at this time. It is up by 1.30%. This, on the expectation that the US Federal Reserve will go for an interest rate cut in its monetary policy meeting tomorrow.

Markets are also expecting that once the US Federal Reserve cuts interest rate tomorrow, RBI too will go for another interest rate cut in its next monetary policy meeting. Interest rate cuts may benefit realty companies.  They will bring down the cost of home loans, thereby increasing demand for realty companies.

Top loser among sectoral indices, at this time, is the Nifty Pharma index. It is down by 0.75%.
