CNG Rates Today, June 15, 2026: CNG Prices See Selective Hikes on Monday as Bangalore, Firozabad, Sonipat, Dewas Revise Upward; NCR Holds Steady

Mumbai, June 15: Compressed natural gas prices across India showed a mixed picture on Monday, breaking the extended pricing freeze that had held firm through most of last week as a handful of city gas distribution entities revised their rates upward even as the broad CNG market remained unchanged.
The Iran-U.S. peace deal announced on Sunday — which promises to reopen the Strait of Hormuz and restore global oil flows — has sent crude oil sharply lower, but CGD companies typically operate on fortnightly-to-monthly revision cycles, meaning Monday’s hikes in select cities reflect decisions made before the weekend’s geopolitical breakthrough rather than a response to current crude levels. New Delhi continued as the most affordable CNG market in the country at ₹83.09 per kg, while Firozabad moved to the top of the national pricing ladder at ₹98.00 per kg following a ₹1.00 hike on Monday.
In the NCR corridor, Indraprastha Gas Limited held New Delhi steady at ₹83.09 per kg, with the familiar tiered gradient across the region remaining intact. Gurugram continued at ₹88.12 per kg, Noida and Ghaziabad each held at ₹91.70 per kg, and Meerut remained at ₹91.58 per kg. Muzaffarnagar makes its first appearance in the national survey on Monday at ₹91.58 per kg — the same level as Meerut, reflecting the shared CGD jurisdiction that covers parts of western Uttar Pradesh. Sonipat, however, saw a revision upward to ₹94.00 per kg from Friday’s ₹92.50 per kg — a hike of ₹1.50 — making it one of the session’s more significant individual adjustments. Rewari held flat at ₹87.70 per kg, and Mumbai, supplied by Mahanagar Gas Limited, remained unchanged at ₹86.00 per kg.
Bangalore recorded the day’s largest absolute hike, rising ₹2.00 to ₹97.00 per kg from Friday’s ₹95.00 — now level with Chennai, Hyderabad and Mathura, all of which held steady at ₹97.00 per kg. Firozabad moved to ₹98.00 per kg, up ₹1.00 from Friday’s ₹97.00 and now the single most expensive CNG market in the current national dataset. Dewas inched up ₹0.50 to ₹96.00 per kg, while Bharatpur held at ₹97.00 per kg. If Monday’s peace deal confirmation holds and Brent crude sustains its decline toward the $80–$83 range, the next CGD revision window — expected around June 30 for most distribution companies — could bring the first meaningful round of CNG price cuts since the Iran war began disrupting global energy markets in February.
