Coal India Limited(CIL) has been declared the “Preferred Bidder” for Oranga-Revatipur Graphite Block in the state of Chhattisgarh as informed by the Ministry of Mines, Government of India. The block was put up for auction of mining lease in Tranche V.

  • Awarding Entity: Ministry of Mines, Government of India
  • Block Location: Balrampur-Ramanujganj District, Chhattisgarh
  • Block Area: 366.478 hectares
  • Minerals:
    • Graphite: 9.28 million tonnes at 5.48% Fixed Carbon (FC) cutoff
    • Vanadium: 0.70 million tonnes at 1,211.64 ppm (parts per million) average grade (G2 stage)
  • Mining Premium: 189.75% of the value of minerals dispatched, payable to the government
  • Execution Timeline: Mining lease deed to be executed within 3 years from the date of issue of LoI by the State Government

Regulatory Disclosure

This development has been disclosed in compliance with Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, and is accompanied by relevant disclosures as per SEBI circular SEBI/HO/CFD/PoD2/CIR/P/0155 dated November 11, 2024.

Coal India clarified that the promoter or any of its group companies had an interest in the entity being granted the award. The transaction is not a related party transaction.
