Eicher Motors: Royal Enfield August Sales Surge 55% to 1,14,002 Units; Exports Grow 39%

Chennai, September 1, 2025 – Eicher Motors Limited (NSE: EICHERMOT, BSE: 505200) reported a strong sales update for August with Royal Enfield dispatches rising 55 percent year-on-year to 1,14,002 motorcycles. Exports increased 39% to 11,126 units as the company entered the festive period on a firm footing.

Royal Enfield delivered broad-based growth across engine segments and geographies in August, supported by new colourways and expanding brand programs. Year to date for April to August FY26, total volumes rose 27 percent to 4,67,575 units.

Monthly Performance Snapshot

In August 2025, the company reported a sharp jump in performance compared to the same month last year. Domestic sales rose to 1,02,876 units. This is up 57% from 65,623 units in August 2024. Exports also grew strongly by 39%. It reached 11,126 units against 8,006 units a year earlier. Taken together, the company sold a total of 1,14,002 units in August 2025, marking a robust 55% year-on-year growth over the 73,629 units sold in the previous year.

YTD Performance (Apr-Aug)

Between April and August of FY26, the company recorded solid year-to-date growth. Domestic sales reached 4,07,909 units, up 23% from 3,31,517 units in the same period of FY25. Exports grew sharply by 64%, rising to 59,666 units compared to 36,284 units a year earlier. In total, the company sold 4,67,575 units, marking an overall 27% increase against 3,67,801 units during the corresponding period last year.

Five-month cumulative volumes show robust domestic momentum and outsized export gains.

Segment-wise Mix (August)

In August 2025, sales growth was strong across engine categories. Motorcycles with engine capacity up to 350cc sold 98,631 units, a sharp 61% jump from 61,087 units in August 2024. The above 350cc segment also performed well, with sales rising 23% to 15,371 units compared to 12,542 units a year earlier. Overall, the company sold 1,14,002 units in August 2025, reflecting an impressive 55% year-on-year increase from 73,629 units in the same month last year.

Core sub-350cc portfolio continues to lead growth, with larger displacement models also expanding double digits.
