Short buildup being seen in Bank Nifty Futures
Create Shorts with stop loss (SL) at 24850 level
The Nifty extended its gains for a second consecutive session yesterday, albeit with a minor increase of 33 points (0.14%), closing at 24855.
Long Build-Up was seen in the Nifty Futures where Open Interest rose by 1.20% with Nifty rising by 0.14%.
Short Build-Up was seen in the Bank Nifty Futures where Open Interest rose by 3.62% with Bank Nifty falling by 0.13%.
Nifty Open Interest Put Call ratio rose to 0.87 levels from 0.80 levels.
Amongst the Nifty options (31-July Expiry), Call writing is seen at 24800-24900 levels, indicating Nifty is likely to find strong resistance in the vicinity of 24800-24900 levels.
On the lower side, an immediate support is placed in the vicinity of 24500-24600 levels where we have seen Put writing.
One day before the expiry, We have seen lower rollover of 65% in the Nifty to the August series as against last three series average rollover of 69%. Lower rollover is seen in the Bank Nifty futures also where we have seen rollover of 57% as against last three series average rollover of 65%.
Short build-up was seen from the side of FIIs in the Index Futures segment where they net sold contracts worth Rs 445 crore with their Open Interest going up by 7943 contracts.
