Short covering seen in Nifty Futures

Create Longs with stop loss (SL) at 24600 Level

Nifty 50 registered a relief rally in the first session of the week, yesterday. It rose 157 points (0.64%) to close at 24722.

Short Covering was seen in Nifty Futures where Open Interest fell by 1.99% with Nifty rising by 0.64%.

Minor Long build up is seen in the Bank Nifty Futures where Open Interest rose by 5.5% with marginal rise in Bank Nifty.

Nifty Open Interest Put Call ratio rose to 0.94 level from 0.75 level.

Amongst Nifty options (07-Aug Expiry), Call writing is seen at 24800-24900 level, indicating Nifty is likely to find strong resistance in the vicinity of 24800-24900 levels. On the lower side, an immediate support is placed in the vicinity of 24700-24600 levels where we have seen Put writing.

Long build-up is being seen from the side of FIIs in the Index Futures segment where they net bought contracts worth Rs 204 cr with their Open Interest going up by 384 contracts.
