Mumbai, April 28 : Globe International Carriers Limited said Tuesday it has begun deploying an artificial intelligence-driven vehicle placement system that replaces traditional phone-based coordination with a WhatsApp-integrated chatbot.

The rollout, disclosed in an exchange filing, marks an initial step toward digitizing how the company allocates trucks. Vehicle placement in logistics typically relies on manual calls and follow-ups with transporters. The new system instead pushes load requirements simultaneously to multiple operators through an API-based interface, allowing real-time responses and faster decision-making.

Stock Market Snapshot

Globe International Carriers Limited share price were largely steady following the announcement.

The stock traded around ₹42 on April 28, compared with a previous close of ₹40.86, and touched an intraday high of ₹42.55, according to exchange data. The movement indicated limited volatility as investors assessed the potential impact of the initiative.

Early Efficiency Gains Reported

The company reported initial improvements from pilot runs of the system.

Vehicle placement time improved by about 10% to 15%, particularly on established routes. Freight rate optimization improved by roughly 2% to 3%, supported by real-time comparisons across transporter quotes.

While modest, such gains can be meaningful in the logistics sector, where margins are typically thin and operations are volume-driven.

Move Toward Standardized Processes

The chatbot system introduces a more structured workflow for communication with transporters. Requests are sent in a uniform format and responses are received in a comparable manner, enabling better tracking and analysis.

The approach is expected to reduce reliance on manual coordination and allow for more consistent allocation decisions over time.

Outlook Depends on Adoption

Globe International Carriers Limited said the broader impact will depend on scaling the system across its operations and adoption by transporters.

The company indicated potential revenue improvement of 10% to 15% over time, subject to successful implementation. However, such projections remain dependent on execution and consistency.

Analysts generally expect operational changes in logistics to reflect gradually in financial performance as adoption expands.
