Gold prices in Bangalore remained largely steady on July 30, with rates slipping by just ₹1 per gram across all major purity categories. The marginal decline comes after a broader correction over the past week, keeping prices near their recent lows.

Bangalore, July 30: Gold prices in Bangalore witnessed another quiet trading session on Thursday, with rates easing by ₹1 per gram across 24K, 22K and 18K categories. The small decline follows several days of volatility and suggests the market is beginning to settle after last week’s correction.
According to the latest retail rates, 24-karat gold is priced at ₹14,350 per gram, down ₹1 from Wednesday. 22-karat gold has slipped to ₹13,154 per gram, while 18-karat gold is trading at ₹10,762 per gram, also lower by ₹1.
Although today’s movement was minimal, prices remain comfortably below the highs recorded during the third week of July, offering buyers relatively softer entry levels.

Gold Prices Continue to Trade Below Last Week’s High
Gold prices rallied strongly during the third week of July before touching ₹14,651 per gram on July 22. Since then, a combination of profit booking and softer global bullion prices has weighed on domestic rates.
At Thursday’s level, 24K gold is ₹301 per gram below the July 22 peak, showing that most of last week’s gains have now been erased. Even so, the sharp selling pressure seen earlier has eased, with prices barely moving over the last session.

Why Do Gold Prices Change Every Day?
Gold prices move in response to a mix of international and domestic factors. Global bullion prices, fluctuations in the rupee against the U.S. dollar, import costs, inflation expectations and central bank policies all influence daily retail rates.
Geopolitical developments, investor demand for safe-haven assets and local taxes also play a role in determining the final price consumers pay at jewellery stores.
Conclusion
Gold prices in Bangalore remained broadly unchanged on July 30, with 24K gold easing by just ₹1 to ₹14,350 per gram and 22K gold slipping to ₹13,154 per gram. Although the latest decline was marginal, prices continue to trade below last week’s highs after the recent correction.
With volatility easing over the past two sessions, the market appears to be entering a more stable phase. Buyers and investors will continue tracking global bullion prices and currency movements for cues on where gold heads next.
