Why Do Gold Prices Change Every Day?
Delhi’s gold rates are tied to more than demand at local jewellery stores. International bullion prices and movements in the rupee against the US dollar play a major role because India imports a large share of its gold requirements.
Interest-rate expectations, inflation, central bank activity and geopolitical developments can also influence bullion markets. Domestic import costs and taxes are then reflected in the rates buyers see in India.
Conclusion
Gold prices in Delhi were almost steady on July 28, with 24K gold edging up ₹1 to ₹14,605 per gram. The 22K rate moved to ₹13,386, while 18K gold reached ₹10,955 per gram.
The latest move is modest compared with the swings seen over the past week. Still, the recovery from the July 24 decline has held, leaving 24K gold just ₹51 below its recent high of ₹14,656. Buyers will now be watching whether prices can hold near these levels or see another round of volatility in the coming sessions.
