Mumbai, May 23: Dalal Street is headed into a holiday-shortened week, with the March-quarter earnings season nearing its end and fewer heavyweight results left on the calendar. While corporate action will still keep select stocks such as Asian Paints, Oil and Natural Gas Corporation, Suzlon Energy and Trent in focus, global macroeconomic cues are likely to dominate sentiment. Investors will closely track US inflation and growth data, the Bank of Japan governor’s commentary, crude inventory numbers and consumer confidence readings for direction. 

Monday, May 25 

Economic Indicators 

  • US market holiday:  Wall Street will remain shut for Memorial Day, likely resulting in thinner global trading volumes and subdued institutional activity across Asian markets. 

Results 

  • Hitachi Energy India: Investors will watch order inflows and commentary on  transmission infrastructure demand amid India’s power grid expansion push. 
  • Suzlon Energy: Street focus will remain on execution of wind energy orders,  margin trajectory and outlook on renewable capacity additions. 
  • Rail Vikas Nigam: Order book growth and updates on railway and  infrastructure projects will be key triggers. 
  • Indraprastha Gas: Margins and volume growth in CNG and PNG segments will be monitored amid evolving gas pricing trends.
