Cosmo First Forms Korea Joint Venture With Filmax; Shares Fall 2.10%

Cosmo First incorporated a 50:50 joint venture with South Korea’s Filmax Corporation to expand flexible packaging distribution and marketing operations.

Mumbai, May 22: Cosmo First said it has incorporated a joint venture company in South Korea with Filmax Corporation to strengthen its flexible packaging business in the region.
The company informed exchanges that the new entity has been incorporated under the name “Filmax Cosmo Korea Limited”.
According to the regulatory filing, the joint venture will undertake distribution, sales and marketing of flexible packaging products and related offerings manufactured by the two companies.
The development follows an earlier agreement executed between Cosmo First and Filmax Corporation on November 12, 2025 for establishing the joint venture structure.
Cosmo First said both partners have subscribed to the initial paid-up capital of the venture in an equal 50:50 ratio.
The company did not disclose the financial size of the investment in the filing. The disclosure was made under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
Stock Market Snapshot
Cosmo First share price declined 2.10% to ₹782.95 on the NSE as of 2:52 PM IST on May 22, 2026.
The stock opened at ₹808.55 and touched ₹814 before witnessing selling pressure through the trading session. The stock also slipped to an intraday low of ₹779.10.
Compared with the previous close of ₹799.75, the counter remained under pressure despite the strategic overseas business development announcement.
