SPML Infra Secures ₹165.41 Crore Rajasthan Grid Project; Shares Rise 3.42%

SPML Infra won a ₹165.41 crore transmission infrastructure contract in Rajasthan from RRVPNL, lifting the stock over 3% on May 22.

Mumbai, May 22: SPML Infra said it has secured a ₹165.41 crore contract from Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Ltd (RRVPNL) for construction of a 400 kV grid substation and transmission infrastructure in Kota, Rajasthan.
The company disclosed in an exchange filing that the project will be executed at Dahra in Kota district over an 18-month period.
According to the filing, the scope of work includes supply, erection, testing and commissioning of a 400 kV grid substation along with a 500 MVA autotransformer bay.
The contract also covers a 420 kV, 1×125 MVAR bus-type shunt reactor bay, feeder bays, tie bays, civil works, automation systems and communication infrastructure associated with the project.
SPML Infra said the order falls within the normal course of business and forms part of its expanding power transmission and substation portfolio.
The company added that Rajasthan remains a key renewable energy and transmission infrastructure market as the state continues strengthening grid evacuation capacity.

SPML Infra share price rose 3.42% to ₹206.66 on the NSE as of 11:32 AM IST on May 22, 2026.
The stock traded between ₹200.39 and ₹209.95 during the session against the previous close of ₹199.82, according to exchange data.
The order announcement supported buying interest in the counter amid continued momentum in infrastructure and power transmission-related stocks.
