ICICI Bank Mops Up USD 750 Mn by Issuing Bonds to Overseas Investors

New Delhi: Private sector ICICI Bank on Tuesday said it has mobilised USD 750 million from bonds from overseas market to fund business growth.
The bonds were raised through its IFSC banking unit at a coupon rate of 5.417 per cent, ICICI Bank said in a regulatory filing.
This senior unsecured fixed rate notes of 5-year tenure is a part of USD 7.5 billion Global Medium Term Note Programme of the bank, it said.
Net proceeds from the issue of notes will be used by the bank for its general corporate purposes in accordance with relevant regulatory guidelines, it said.
