Icodex Publishing Solutions lists at 20% discount

Mumbai, 19 August 2025: Shares of Icodex Publishing Solutions made a weak debut on the BSE SME platform, listing at ₹81.60 per share, down ₹20.40 or 20% from the IPO price of ₹102. The listing came below grey market expectations, where unlisted shares had been trading flat at the IPO price with zero grey market premium (GMP).
Within minutes of trading, the stock further declined to ₹77.55, hitting the lower end of the 5% price band, indicating immediate selling pressure among investors. This weak debut contrasts with the IPO’s subscription trend, which had indicated strong investor interest.
IPO Subscription Details Showed Varied Demand Across Investor Segments
The Icodex Publishing Solutions IPO, aimed at raising ₹42.03 crore, received a total subscription of 3.95 times its offer size during the three-day bidding from 11 to 13 August 2025. The retail portion was subscribed 4.67 times, the non-institutional investor (NII) quota 1.58 times, while qualified institutional buyers (QIBs) submitted bids 33.08 times the allocation. The IPO consisted of a fresh issue of 0.34 crore shares (₹34.64 crore) and an offer for sale of 0.07 crore shares (₹7.39 crore).
Fresh Issue Proceeds to Fund Office Expansion, Hardware, and Working Capital Needs
Icodex Publishing Solutions plans to utilise the proceeds from the fresh share sale to purchase new office premises, acquire hardware for operations, meet working capital requirements, and for general corporate purposes.
Icodex Publishing Solutions, based in Pune, develops software for the scholarly publishing sector, supporting the entire publishing workflow from manuscript preparation to digital and print distribution. The company also offers Business Process Management (BPM) services, including quality assurance, editorial support, IT, and back-end operations.
