Infosys shares are down today. At 11:50 a.m. IST, 15th October, 2025, Infosys share price is down by 1.17%, trading at Rs 1,472.50. Nifty 50 index is up by 0.59% at this time.

Infosys gets £ 1.2 billion order from NHS in UK

 Infosys announced yesterday that it has won a major contract from National Health Service (NHS) of United Kingdom. The value of this new contract is around GBP 1.2 billion (approximately Rs 14,000 crore). The term of the contract is 15 years. Infosys will develop and install a new workforce management platform for NHS in England and Wales. This will replace the existing Electronic Staff Record (ESR) system of NHS.

This is after quite some time that Infosys has won such a big order. Infosys has said that it will use its digital transformation capabilities, honed over the years, and its AI platform, Infosys Topaz, for developing a solution that will drive efficiency and empower NHS for future.

Infosys shares have lost more than 21% in 2025

Infosys will also announce its September quarter result, tomorrow, 16th October. Infosys shares have lost 1.79% in the past 5 days. In the past 1 month, its stock has lost 2.38%. Year-to-date in 2025, the stock has lost 21.78%. Nifty 50 index has gained 6.53% in this period. The stock has underperformed the Nifty 50 index by around 28% this year.
