Illustrative comparison.
Strategic Differentiator
This fund marks a significant offering for Edelweiss Mutual Fund as its first domestic fund of fund scheme within the multi-asset category that uniquely combines both active and passive allocations across multiple asset classes. This structure is not currently offered under its existing product suite, making it a distinct addition.
Risk and Compliance
- Risk Level: Very High (as per Risk-o-Meter)
- Regulatory Compliance: The scheme complies with SEBI’s circular on fund of funds structure, asset allocation norms, and due diligence requirements.
- No investments in derivatives, overseas securities, or structured obligations are permitted.
Insights For Investors
- Diversified Exposure: Offers access to equity, debt, gold, and silver in a single scheme, reducing asset-specific concentration risks while providing multi-asset diversification.
- Blend of Active & Passive: Combines actively managed debt and equity with passively tracked gold and silver ETFs—an efficient hybrid approach for long-term asset allocation.
- Low Entry Point: With a ₹100 minimum investment and SIP availability, the fund is accessible to small and first-time investors seeking broad market exposure.
- Tax Efficiency & Liquidity: Fund of fund structure may have tax implications similar to debt funds; however, daily liquidity and fractional redemption add flexibility.
- Ideal for Moderate-to-High Risk Investors: Given the “Very High” risk label, the fund suits investors with long-term horizons who can withstand interim volatility for potentially better risk-adjusted returns.
