Mumbai, June16: HCLTech, Tata Consumer Products and NTPC emerged among the top gainers on the Nifty 50 index on Tuesday, while Hindalco Industries, JSW Steel and HDFC Life Insurance featured among the major laggards as investors navigated mixed sectoral trends through the trading session.
According to exchange data, IT, FMCG and PSU utility stocks witnessed buying interest, while metal and insurance counters remained under pressure.
