New Delhi: Shares of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) will also be available for trading on the Metropolitan Stock Exchange of India (MSEI) from Thursday, alongside the BSE.
NSE is scheduled to list its shares on the BSE on Thursday, September 24.
“Trading members of the exchange are hereby informed that equity shares of the following company (NSE) shall be admitted for trading on the capital market segment of the exchange under ‘Permitted to Trade’ category with effect from September 24, 2026,” MSEI said in a circular.
Securities admitted under “Permitted to Trade” category do not execute a listing agreement with the exchange and, therefore, do not provide the full disclosures applicable to listed companies, the exchange said.
Earlier, on the possibility of NSE creating a permitted-to-trade category for its shares on its own exchange, NSE MD and CEO Ashishkumar Chauhan had said the exchange had not applied for such a facility and would consult the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) if it decided to pursue the option.
The Rs 22,569-crore IPO of NSE received a strong overall subscription of 5.71 times on the final day of bidding.
The IPO is the country’s second-largest public issue after Hyundai Motor India’s Rs 27,870-crore IPO in 2024. It has also surpassed the Rs 21,000-crore public offer of Life Insurance Corporation of India in 2022.
