PhysicsWallah Share Price Dip Nearly 9% A Day After Listing; Stock Trades At ₹140.63 in Mid-Session

Mumbai, November 19, 2025: PhysicsWallah Limited IPO shares dipped sharply on Wednesday, down 9.29% to ₹140.63 at 2:30 PM IST, a day after its strong market debut. The stock opened at ₹156.50, hitting an intraday high of ₹161 and a low of ₹138.54, reflecting mild profit booking following yesterday’s listing rally.
Trading was active, with over 5.77 crore shares exchanging hands for a total value of ₹880.73 crore in the morning session. The stock recorded a VWAP of ₹152.49, with buy orders totaling 1.40 crore shares and sell orders at 48.85 lakh shares. PhysicsWallah’s market capitalisation currently stands at ₹43,341.50 crore.
Despite the pullback, the stock remains well above its IPO issue price of ₹109. The 52-week high and low stand at ₹161.99 and ₹137.35, both established on the listing day. The IPO debuted at ₹145, a 33% premium to the issue price, and closed its first trading session at ₹156.49, driven by robust institutional support and active retail participation.

IPO Recap
PhysicsWallah’s ₹3,673-crore IPO recorded an overall subscription of 1.92×, reflecting healthy investor interest across segments. The QIB category (excluding anchors) was oversubscribed 2.86×, while retail investors subscribed 1.14×. Employee participation was notably strong at 3.71×. In contrast, non-institutional investors (NIIs) showed a subdued response with 0.51× subscription.
Prior to the public issue, the firm raised ₹1,562.85 crore from anchor investors at ₹109 per share, allotting 14,33,80,733 shares to marquee domestic and global institutions across 35 mutual fund schemes.
