December 8, 2025: RailTel Corporation of India announced that it has received the Letter of Acceptance from the Ministry of External Affairs for a new project involving the procurement and supply of 2,000 AI enabled laptops, valued at approximately ₹14.40 crore. 

The company has been appointed as the Project Implementing Agency, with the contract scheduled for completion by March 4, 2026. RailTel noted that this assignment reflects its growing involvement in technology focused government initiatives and its capability to deliver large-scale digital infrastructure solutions.

Recent Order Wins Strengthen Project Pipeline

Apart from the above order, the company had received a work order of ₹63.92 crore from the Central Public Works Department to design and install an ICT network for a period of 5 years. RailTel also received a work order from the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority for a project valued at ₹48.78 crore (excluding taxes) to design, develop, and implement a regional information system.

Furthermore, last month, the company received a work order worth ₹13.86 crore from the Information Technology and Electronics Department, Uttar Pradesh, for the supply, installation, commissioning, training, and support of Atal Tinkering Labs (ATL) in schools under the Department of Secondary Education. Additionally, it received a Letter of Acceptance from the Rajasthan Council of School Education for ₹32.43 crore for Aadhaar enrolment and updation services.

Stock Performance and Market Position

As of December 8, 2025, Railtel Corporation of India Ltd share price (NSE: RAILTEL) closed at ₹317.80, down ₹16.55 or 4.95%. The stock opened at ₹321.60, reaching a high of ₹336.00 and a low of ₹311.15 during the day. The company has a market capitalization of ₹10,170 crore, a P/E ratio of 31.82, and a dividend yield of 0.63%. Its 52-week high and low stand at ₹478.95 and ₹265.50, respectively, with a quarterly dividend of ₹0.50 per share.
